..basically consisted of what you would expect. Sleeping in, the new Harry Potter movie and yummy leftovers. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was a much darker film (and novel) than the previous 3. The kids spent some time partially hiding under our arms, but were not unduly terrified. The whole whole House Elf Liberation Front was left out of this, as well as a few other side stories. It was great though and had some wonderful scenes. Oh and while I long agao abandoned the HP:PoA scarf I turned into a funky stocking hatish thing in time for Em to wear today.
It looks cute on her, not so much on me. I think Dobby would love it.
I finished the hat and a holiday gift item last night so am now working on the second of my Shadowbox (Knit Socks!) socks for myself. I made the first one relatively quickly in a gold Cascade 220 (color 4010) and I think that a year languishing as an orphan sock is quite enough. In fact, if the truth be told there is more than one lonely sock in the stash and one of them is an infant sock-which is pretty pathetic.
I have promised myself that I will spend more time working on projects and less time blogging about them, at least during the holiday season and so off I go to knit.
A final picture though-it snowed yesterday morning and the kids made the most of it.
Oh and I am updating my poor reading blog now as well.
I totally love how you turned the hat into a scarf! What a stroke of genius. A brilliant save! It looks great!
